What is the spotlight?
Concentrated led glare flashlight, every day refers to the use of concentrated light or mirrors. Concentration is actually the central spotlight of the glare flashlight. It shines brightly, the center point is very bright, and the edge brightness is low. Now it is a popular flashlight.
The central spot beam is concentrated, the diffuse light of the flooding area is relatively small, the viewing angle is small, the irradiation area is small, and the range is narrow. The center spot is small and strong, and the long-range effect is very good. A mirror (glossy) reflector is usually used with a small core LED. The diameter and depth (height) of the reflector directly affect the degree of concentration. The curve design of the reflector determines the position of the beam spot and the shape of the spot.
The spotlight of the spotlight flashlight is as follows: the center spot is small and round, and the flood area is weak. The floodlight area and the center spot are clearly demarcated, and several annular apertures (halation) often appear at the outermost periphery of the spot. Excellent spot, the center rule is round, no black spots, and the boundary is clear.
Advantages of concentrated light flashlight: concentrated light, long-range effect, suitable for long-distance illumination.
Disadvantages of concentrated light flashlight: less flooding in the vicinity, uneven light distribution. The concentrating portion of the center spot is very glaring when used at close range.
Suitable for: outdoor sports such as the speed of light, hunting, high-speed night riding, and other long-distance illumination.
What is floodlight?
Floodlight flashlights are not spotlights, projection lights, and spotlights. Floodlights produce highly diffuse, non-directional light rather than sharply defined beams, resulting in soft, transparent shadows that are used to illuminate objects much slower than when illuminated with spotlights. Even some floodlights with very slow illumination tend to look like a light source that does not produce shadows. The spotlight projects a directed, well-defined beam that illuminates a particular area. In the application of glare flashlights, there are mainly glare flashlights with telescopic focusing or rotating focusing, and all of them are flooded.
The central spot beam is slightly concentrated, and the diffuse reflection light in the floodlight area is large, the viewing angle is large, the irradiation area is large, and the range is wide. The center spot is not glaring and practical. Usually, use orange peel reflector or micro orange peel reflector, there is no specific rule with the LED core, the small core flood is less, the big core is more floodlight. The orange peel reflector is more scattered than the light beam of the micro orange peel reflector. The light diffuse reflection of the micro orange peel reflector has a more reasonable light coverage distribution, which is the most practical.
The floodlight flashlight has a strong spot: the center spot is strong, and the flood area is weak. The flooding area and the central spot boundary have smooth transitional flooding. It does not mean a completely scattered beam. The floodlights also have a strong central spot. It is not that astigmatism like a street lamp or an indoor dome has no central spot at all. It is a relative spotlight. In terms of floodlights.
Advantages of floodlight flashlight: The center spot is strong, the light distribution in the floodlight area is uniform, the viewing angle is large, and the range is wide. Suitable for medium and long-distance illumination. The objects covered by the light are clear and not glare.
Disadvantages of floodlight flashlight: The illumination distance is far away, and the light is slightly dispersed.
Application: outdoor sports, camping, hiking, climbing, night riding, fishing, household.
